I'm Janie Rouse, the Owner and Lead Designer of Comfort By Design. The one word that describes my relationship to my company is "passionate." Even as a teenager, I loved to beautify my family's modest home by moving furniture around. At that time, I had no clue that I could have a career in curation and design.

While on active duty in the USAF, as an Administration and Protocol officer, I planned a myriad of activities and events for multi- national, senior-level officers. After 20 years of active duty, I enrolled in the Interior Design Department at Georgia State University to hone my skills in design. While my experience and credentials boosted my confidence, it was ultimately my love for making all things pretty that led me to start my own company. I wanted to share my gift with others.

Initially, my focus was on residential design, but as more people tuned into HGTV, the market for residential designers declined sharply. So, I started concentrating on wedding and event venue design, with the sole intention to take my clients’ dream weddings and events realities.

I believe that peoples’ homes and venue spaces should be beautiful and comfortable, at the same time. As such, we create spaces that Simply Amaze!
